New Balance's first protective bag garnered a lot of attention with its throwback 2002 silhouette. The bag comes in neutral colorways and really lets the details and premium materials do the talking. I mean, those diaper suedes are enough to grab the attention of any sneakerhead.
This time around, things are still much the same. Material quality is still very much there, and the shoe's furry panel cut, arguably the main talking point, is back. New Balance still maintains a classic colorway, mixing dark black with some gray accents on the upper. We can see traces of the 991 DNA in the way the midsole seamlessly blends white and beige. To add some extra sparkle, there are some 3M details on the branded logo panels above and below the laces, as well as on the inside of the collar.
